The voluntary work Jenny and Stuart started in July 2004 is a memorial to their darling Penny. Without her coming into their lives none of this would have happened.

When adopting a greyhound the suggested donation is £150.00 which goes towards neutering, inoculations, upkeep etc. Some people give a little less, while
others want to give more. We are quite flexible with this, and with this we provide:

Black greyhound
Lady is a lovely small black greyhound who only finished her racing career this month. She was born on the 1st September 2007 and weighs 23k, is spayed, inoculated, microchipped, walks nicely on the lead and travels well in the car.
Lady loves having a cuddle and was a little shy and reserved when she first arrived and wary of loud noises, but as she gets to know us and becomes used to life outside the kennel we feel this will disappear and she will come out of her shell.

Went to her new home on Tuesday 1st February 2011.
Lady's Diary
27th January 2011
Stuart collected Barratt and Lady this morning and brought them home. Both travelled well in the car and once home he walked them both around the garden to do their toilet while I put all our greyhounds behind the safety gate at the end of the kitchen so we could bring the two new ones into the house. The safety gate works really well because it means they can all say hello without the resident dogs overpowering the new ones.
30th January 2011
This afternoon we did a home check for a family looking to adopt Lady, and she went with us so they could meet her and her meet them. As all was well, arrangements were made for them to adopt her.
1st February 2011

This morning Lady went off with her new owners to her new home in the Coniston area where we hope she will have a long and happy life.
20th July 2012
We received an email today from Lady's owners saying that Lady is a lovely dog who has soon became a great pet to all the family. The 'deal' when they got Lady was their daughter would have her if they were away anywhere she couldn't be with them, and they would similarly have their daughter's whippet. Since then their daughter has aquired another whippet pup and the three of them have great fun! Lady and the older whippet trying to keep up with baby 'Belle' who has endless energy and loves teasing them.
