The voluntary work Jenny and Stuart started in July 2004 is a memorial to their darling Penny. Without her coming into their lives none of this would have happened.

Blue Greyhound
Mac is a 4 year old, blue ex-racing greyhound who weighs approx 33k, has a nice nature, walks nicely on the lead, travels well in the car, and from what we have been told he is okay with children and other breeds of dogs.

This photo was taken of Mac on the 18th January 2012
Mac's Diary

5th May 2012
This afternoon Mac's new owners arrived to complete the adoption paperwork and take him home with them. He got on fine with our greyhounds and their children and is such a layed back guy!
Mac's original owner arrived with Horace and Rose so they can be fostered until we find them a nice home. When Mac saw his previous owners he gave them a lovely welcome, and once all the paperwork was complete and a new coat purchased for him off he went with his new owners to their car. Having to walk past his previous owner's van he wanted to jump in with Horace and Rose, but they guided him away to their car and with a bit of a sulk he jumped in and off he went to his new home where we hope he will have a long and happy life.
We later received an email from Mac's new owners letting us know that he had began to settle in. They say he's been fantastic - he travelled back really well and has been outside every time he needs the toilet. He seems very friendly and laid back, and they took him for a walk where he encountered a few dogs and was okay. They also saw a couple of rabbits which interested him, but he didn't pull on the lead to chase them and carried on walking when told to do so. Arriving home he lay on the floor and slept by his owner's feet in the lounge!
13th May 2012
We received an emai today from Mac's new owners with an update on their first week with him. They say he he has been great. They have enjoyed taking him on lots of walks. He really likes walking on the beach and has also enjoyed lying in the garden whilst they do the weeding! He loves cuddles and loves his food too!
11th October 2012
We heard today that Mac has settled in really well and is enjoying being part of the family! He enjoys his walks and run in the pinewoods in the mornings and then his evening walks around the roads. His new owners also try and take him to the beach once a week where he enjoys sprinting up and down the sand dunes.
His coat is lovely and shiny and all his hair has grown back on his hind legs and tail. He had quite a bit of plaque on his teeth, but we clean his teeth every night so now most of the plaque has gone and his breath doesn't smell too bad. He loves his food, in particular sardines in tomato sauce!
