Greyhounds in long-term fosterer homes:

ARE YOU ABLE TO TEMPORARILY FOSTER A GREYHOUND FOR US?

Fosterers are a valuable part of greyhound rescue in that another greyhound is living life away from the kennels and taking the first steps towards getting used to the family way of life. If you live in the South Lakes or the surrounding area and would like to foster a greyhound until we can find him or her a new home.
please contact Jenny or Stuart

Black Greyhound
Maxie is a lovely black ex-racing greyhound who is being fostered with Pauline and Colin until she finds her forever home.

This picture was taken of her in Pauline's garden on the 11th May 2012
Maxie's Diary
8th May 2012
Today Pat, one of our volunteers collected 3 greyhounds for fostering and brought all 3 here this afternoon so we could weigh them, worm and flea them and check to see if they were microchipped, and, if not, chip them. The 3 were Maxie, Dee and Pheobe
14th May 2012
Maxie's potential new owners took Maxie out for the day and showed her the beach near where she will be living. Maxie was quite taken by it all.
17th May 2012
This afternoon Maxie's new owners called to collect her and take her home with them. She greeted them with a wagging tail and a sloppy kiss, then jumped in the back of their car and off she went with them.
Maxie obviously loves her new owners and they her so we wish them all a long and happy life together.
23rd December 2013
We received a Christmas card today from Maxie's owners letting us know that Maxie is a wonderful dog, loving and well behaved.
