Black greyhound
Slippy is a lovely small black greyhound who has a lovely gentle nature. She was born on the 4th October 2009, is spayed, inoculated and microchipped. She is also cat friendly, walks nicely on the lead and travels well in the car.
Slippy's Diary
11th April 2012
This afternoon I met another volunteer of the Retired Greyhound Trust who had picked up and brought us 3 cat friendly greyhounds, all of whom had potential homes to go to. It was funny he got 3 black females from his van all the same size and looking very similar - it was bizarre!
All three travelled well in the car, but we didn't know who was who until we got them home and checked their earmarks.
Once all the paperwork was checked and photographs taken Pat who fosters with us took all three back to her house for the night.
In the morning she is bringing all three back here because Pauline is calling to collect two of them to go to new homes. The third is meeting her potential new owner on Friday or at the weekend.
13th April 2012
This afternoon Slippy went off to her new home where she will be living with a family and their cat. Slippy is a lovely greyhound and we wish her a long and happy life with her new family.
19th July 2012
We heard today that Lady is now fully cat friendly. After a lot of patience and a few close calls, Snitch, the old cat is now the boss of the household.  He even bullies her for fun sometimes.  Her new mum now knows why her racing name was 'Slip of the Tackle' as she does this on a regular basis.  Any chance of freedom and she is off with Barley her companion without so much as a backward glance.
Lady's mum's 84 year old father loves her to bits and she loves his sofa and she has all the benifits of shared care, which she loves.
