Chrissie's arrival and a brief history

Chrissie is a beautiful white and fawn greyhound, who was born on the 9th June 2011. Chrissie is Lena's litter sister and she is a loveable girl who enjoys being cuddled. She walks nicely on the lead and travels well in the car.

Chrissie's Diary
* The branch kennel at the bottom of our garden is where Chrissie and the other resident(s) will be for the first day or so until he gets to know the other greyhounds. He has use of our garden and paddock, and once he gets to know the other dogs he will be allowed in the house during the day and all the dogs will then take it in turn to sleep in the house at night, so they become use to sleeping in both the kennel and the house.

18th July 2013

Chrissie was one of four greyhounds who arrived this afternoon. Each one was brought in the garden, given Frontline on the back of their neck near the shoulder blades for fleas, which is normal practice for the branch and put in one of the sections in the kennel. There was a fan in there to help move the air around as it was a very warm day and an insectecutor was hanging from the bar just outside the kennel door to attract any unwanted insects.
Once all four dogs were dealt with we gave them some food. Chrissie liked hers although she didn't eat it all and we left them to settle into their new surroundings while I continued my bed and breakfast work.
23rd July 2013
This afternoon once all the adoption paperwork was complete Chrissie went off with her new owner where we hope she will have a long and happy life.
This won't be the last time we see Chrissie because her new owner is a regular visitor, and no doubt in future her visits will include Chrissie by her side.
