ADOPTING A GREYHOUND

When adopting a greyhound the suggested donation is £150.00 which goes towards neutering, inoculations, upkeep etc. Some people give a little less, while
others want to give more. We are quite flexible with this, and with this we provide:

CAN YOU TEMPORARILY FOSTER A GREYHOUND FOR US?

Fosterers are a valuable part of greyhound rescue in that another greyhound is living life away from the kennels and taking the first steps towards getting used to the family way of life. If you live in the South Lakes or the surrounding area and would like to foster a greyhound until we can find him or her a new home.
please contact Jenny or Stuart
T: 015395 52394 or email us for more information

DOG WALKING

Black Greyhound
Ajax is a lovely, friendly black is a 2 year old black ex-racing greyhound who has been through a bit of a tough time.
He is microchipped, and his previous owner/trainer had 2 cats whom he may have seen wandering around the kennels. He's seen other breeds of dogs when out walking and travels well in the car

Went to his new home on Thursday 1st May 2014
Ajax's Diary
* The branch kennel at the bottom of our garden is where Ajax and the other resident(s) will be for the first day or so until he gets to know the other greyhounds. He has use of our garden and paddock, and once he gets to know the other dogs he will be allowed in the house during the day and all the dogs will then take it in turn to sleep in the house at night, so they become use to sleeping in both the kennel and the house.

19th April 2014

25th April 2014
This morning Ajax went to the vet to be neutered and have his 1st inoculation because he came with no paperwork showing they were up to date.
1st May 2014
This morning Rex and Ajax's new owner called to collect them. They both gave him a lovely greeting and once all the paperwork was complete off they went with him in his car to their new home. We hope they will both have long and happy lives together with their new family.
2nd May 2014
We received an email today with pictures of Rex and Ajay relaxing in their new home.
10th August 2014
We received an email today letting us know that the boys are doing great and are really in a routine now – woe betide their owners if they try to change things!  Walks, dinner and bed are all done at exactly the same time. They are so adorable but can drive their owners mad at times, but they love them a lot.  They are all off to Scotland for a week in September and they are all looking forward to that.
Ajay has put on 2k since he went to his new home.
