Went to her new home on Thursday 21st May 2015

Fern's arrival and a brief history

Fern is a lovely happy black ex-racing greyhound who was born on the 9th September 2011. She is microchipped and travels well in a car.

Went to her new home on Thursday 21st May 2015

Fern's Diary
* The branch kennel at the bottom of our garden is where Fern and the other resident(s) will be for the first few days or so until she gets to know the other greyhounds. She has use of our garden and paddock, and once she gets to know the other dogs she will be allowed in the house during the day and all the dogs will then take it in turn to sleep in the house at night, so they become use to sleeping in both the kennel and the house.

18th April 2015
This morning Fern arrived, although that wasn't her name at the time - we chose it for her.
This afternoon a couple of our volunteer dog walkers called in and took four of them for a walk, one of which was Fern. Think she enjoyed that and they said although she was a little quiet to begin with she walked nicely on the lead.
21st May 2015
This afternoon Fern went off with her new owners to her forever home where we hope she will have a long and happy life.
