Jackson - Brindle Greyhound
Jackson is a handsome dark brindle ex-racing greyhound with a white blaze down his nose who weighs 31.5k.
Prior to coming here he'd lived 18 months in a house, walks lovely on the lead, is a very loving dog and travels well in the car.

Went to his new home on Friday 4th December 2015.

Jackson's Diary
* The branch kennel at the bottom of our garden is where Jackson and the other resident(s) will be for the first day or so until he gets to know the other greyhounds. He has use of our garden and paddock, and once he gets to know the other dogs he will be allowed in the house during the day and all the dogs will then take it in turn to sleep in the house at night, so they become use to sleeping in both the kennel and the house.

24th November 2015
This morning Stuart met Tom Edgar from the West Cumbria Branch of the RGT at Penrith to collect two greyhounds. One of which was Jackson.
When they got back here both Esther and Jackson were put in the kennel and settled in.
26th November 2015
This afternoon a couple visited looking for a companion for Bob, their other greyhound. Jackson got on well with Bob and when they took them both out for a walk they said they walked nicely together. Jackson was reserved and arrangements made for him to go to his new home once he'd been neutered and all his inoculations brought up to date.
1st December 2015
Jackson went to the vets this morning to be neutered and have his first inoculation because he came with no inoculation paperwork.  He weighed in at 31k. All went well and he’s now home fast asleep on a dog bed in front of the kitchen fire.  The vets thought he was lovely because he kept asking for cuddles!
He will stay in the house now until his new owners call to adopt him on Friday afternoon to be a companion for Bob.
4th December 2015
Jackson went off to his new home today where we hope he will have a long and happy life with his new family. He happily walked down the drive alongside Bob and his new owners then jumped in their car and settled down for the journey home.
