CAN YOU TEMPORARILY FOSTER A GREYHOUND FOR US?

Fosterers are a valuable part of greyhound rescue in that another greyhound is living life away from the kennels and taking the first steps towards getting used to the family way of life. If you live in the South Lakes or the surrounding area and would like to foster a greyhound until we can find him or her a new home.
please contact Jenny or Stuart
T: 015395 52394 or email us for more information

Rosie is a very loveable and playful black ex-racing greyhound who was born on the 7th November 2012. She weighs 26kg, is house trained, spayed and microchipped. Her inoculations are currently being brought up to date because she came with no inoculation details.
Rosie is a playful girl and has a tendency to jump up at you when she greets you, which is something we are working on to make her stop. She walks nicely on the lead, is okay with children and other breeds of dogs and travels well in a car.

Went to her new home on Tuesday 8th November 2016.

Rosie's Diary
25th September 2016

4th November 2016
Since we changed the clocks Rosie has become a pain to get out first thing in the morning and last thing at night. If she's on the sofa or an armchair she gives us that 'do I really have to move' look. We tell her it's time for a widdle, hold her collar to guide her and she turns to jelly, sliding onto the floor and on her back with legs in the air saying 'stroke my tummy'. She's dreadful for it, and the only way we can get her to stand on her feet is to show her a lead. 'Oh, walk time is it?' and she' up like a shot and ready to go, only it's only to the back garden and she sulks when she realises. We just wonder how long it will take her to work out the lead when on the sofa or chair is not a walk as she wants it to be!
